Infor LX & BPCS Tip of the Week: LX 8.4 Enhancement – Company Security for ACR510

George Moroses 0 17770 Article rating: 5.0

This enhancement provides LX Company Security to Invoice Maintenance, ACR510. Only users authorized to the invoice company can view or maintain invoices.

User must be authorized to ACR as a product or ACR510 as an individual program in Security Master Maintenance, SYS600. Additionally, ACR510-01, displays all records, but if the user tries to revise or display a transaction record for a company the user is not authorized to, this error message is displayed: “User is not authorized to the transaction company.”

Infor LX & BPCS Tip of the Week: Item Deletion Option in IDF Enterprise Items

George Moroses 0 21735 Article rating: 5.0

Previously, users were unable to delete items in IDF Enterprise Items when they have inventory balances or the item is connected to ancillary records, such as sales history records. This feature added in LX 8.4 provides the ability to delete an item when sales history records are found but all sales history activity is zero.

When the user attempts to delete an item in IDF Enterprise Items that is tied to a sales history record, the panel displays a message that the item cannot be deleted. The user can then run the Delete Validation Report to determine which records are tied to this item that prevents the validation. If the item no longer has manufacturing activity but had old sales history, the item can be deleted.

Kathy Barthelt 0 81103 Article rating: 5.0

A new In-Transit Inventory report can be printed in the Print In-Transit Inventory (whinr1410m300) session. Items that are shipped to, for example, customers or projects, or items that are issued to production lines or service departments are excluded.

The report shows item inventory....

Infor LN & Baan Tip of the Week: New Inventory Aging Analysis Report – 10.7

Kathy Barthelt 0 62140 Article rating: 5.0

A new standard Inventory Aging report can be printed in the Perform Inventory Aging Analysis (whina1440m000) session. This report is mainly based on the physical incoming and outgoing inventory movements and transactions. The date of inventory consumption or issue is compared to the date of receipt. If inventory is not yet issued, a reference date is used for aging calculation.

The report includes this information:

  • Which inventory items are not frequently used or are obsolete.
  • How long items have been stored in a warehouse.
  • Inventory and transaction values. This facilitates the financial auditing process.

To use this new feature, an inventory aging analysis definition must be available in the Inventory Aging Analysis Definition (whina1140m000) session.

Infor LN & Baan Tips & Tricks for TECHNOLOGY: Load Audit Tables for Profile (ttaud3220s000)

Use this session to load tables for an audit profile.

Usually, this session is run from the Specific menu of the Audit Tables by Profile (ttaud3120m000) session. The selected profile in that session is displayed in the first line of the current session.

The result of loading the tables depends on the selection level you use in the current session. For each element on the lowest selection level, a line is created in the Audit Tables by Profile (ttaud3120m000) session. For example, if you select a package and a number of modules, a line is created for each module. Because you did not specify the tables, the All check box is selected.

Field Information

  • Profile: The audit profile for which the tables are loaded.
Note: If you start the current session from the appropriate menu of the Audit Tables by Profile (ttaud3120m000), the profile displayed is the profile that is selected in that session.
  • Package: The package that contains the tables you want to load.
  • Module: The module that contains the tables you want to load.
  • Table: The tables you want to load.
  • Audit Type: The audit type that must be set for the tables that are loaded.
Note: You can either select: Always, or Changed. However, it is also possible to determine the audit type per field. This is the Not Applicable option in the Audit Tables by Profile (ttaud3120m000) session. If you want to set the audit type per field, you must change the audit type to Not Applicable after the tables are downloaded, and then specify the audit type per field in the Audit Fields by Table (ttaud3125m000) session.
