Workers interact with the system through easy to use touch screen monitors located on the shop floor rather than through paper-based systems used in traditional data collection systems. While much of the data collected comes from worker input, a great deal of information can be gathered automatically from other devices or systems such as SCADA systems, PLC’s, scales, sensors, gauges and quality systems.
