George Moroses 0 385 Article rating: 5.0

We're excited to unveil our revamped Ongoing BPCS/LX Technical Support Agreement, as Crossroads undergoes a strategic overhaul of our support agreement structures tailored to different job descriptions. This enhanced offering empowers our clients with the opportunity to seamlessly maintain product-level support (BPCS/LX – RPG) and development assistance while enjoying significant cost savings compared to traditional time and material arrangements. We aim to make technical support more accessible and customizable to meet varying budgetary needs.

Key Features of the Technical Support Agreement:

  • Flexible Hours: Tailored to your specific needs, we'll collaborate with you to determine a fixed number of hours per week that best aligns with your requirements.

  • Duration Options: Choose from flexible prepaid agreement durations of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.

  • Remote Accessibility: Our support services are primarily remote, but onsite assistance can also be discussed and arranged during the project kickoff phase, ensuring comprehensive support regardless of location.

  • Expertise Spectrum: Our dedicated BPCS/LX technical resources boast a comprehensive skill set, including proficiency in RPG, thorough documentation practices, design capabilities, familiarity with IBMi system foundations, job scheduling expertise, SQL proficiency, CL development capabilities, and more.

  • Scope Clarification: While our agreement primarily focuses on technical support and development assistance, application support falls outside the defined scope and can be considered separately upon request.

This innovative approach to technical support is designed to streamline your operations, enhance system reliability, and empower your team to maximize the full potential of your BPCS/LX environment. Let's embark on this journey together, customizing support solutions that precisely align with your business objectives and budgetary constraints.

Infor LX/BPCS Tip What are the differences between INV810 and INV015 for Cycle Counting updates?

George Moroses 0 4450 Article rating: 5.0

INV810 only deletes the sequence number from the ILI of the item so it is not selected again for counting and does not delete the ICY record.

The ICY Cycle Count sequential history file increases in size with each new cycle count session. Running INV015 will purge all the old ICY records up to the date entered on the set-up screen ‘Enter Cycle Count Ending Date’ field. Physically deleting the old ICY files.

In most cases, when you complete the cycle count posting and run the reports, you can reconcile the data as required. After you reconcile the data for a specific day (or group of days), you can run INV015 to purge the data for that day (or group of days).

Tips: LN | Baan

Earlier this year I wrote a blog about motivating employees to do more… to be more. Doing this helps your business grow. Here is a link to my article> https://www.crossroadsrmc.com/Resources/Infor-ERP-Tips-News/its-not-all-about-the-money-money-money-motivating-employees-in-the-new-year-2

And I would like to share a link to a recent article from Industry Week giving a different take on the same idea.

https://www.industryweek.com/recruiting-retention/grow-employees-grow-your-business

1. Eliminate paper shop packet and distribution of the paperwork to the shop floor.

2. Eliminate manual (paper-based) recording activities and the need to key in the transactions.

3. Easy electronic scheduling by sequence and changing job priorities.

4. Evaluate differences using actual times compared to standards.

5. Improve data accuracy and eliminate the need to chase and fix errors.

6. Practice Real-Time data reporting to monitor efficiencies and identify problems as they occur.
